RELIGION
Religion now is a little different than it was before the sun died out. At that time, there were many different religions that worshipped gods and believed that they were good and all powerful. However, after the sun burnt out, many people stopped to believe in these gods. Many people got angry that their gods would do this to them, so they shunned them. This created many atheists, and some people even formed their own new religions and found other things to worship. Some people did remain true to their religion though, and still practice it today.
However, because some people turned their backs on religion, some people no longer celebrated the holidays of their religion. For example, in America, many people turned their back on christianity, and no longer wanted to celebrate Christmas. In some places, entire countries turned their backs on a certian religion, and the holidays associated with that religion were not to be observed in that region.
