Though many things had changed, some things didn't. One thing that didn't change much was the family structure. Right after the sun burnt out, however, the size of the average family was only about two people because of the rapid death rate. Once the death rate slowed down though, the average family size went back up to around four people, with a mother, father, and two children.

This first generation of children after the sun burnt out was more diverse than the previous generations too. This was due to the deaths of most of the population in the world. Since there were less people in each country, people were forced to spread out and start families with people from other countries. Because of this, children now have more diverse backgrounds and learned several languages while they were younger so that they can effectively communicate with people. Some new languages were also formed out of small communities just combining words of several languages together.
